Meet Your Golf Instructor Warren Bailey
Warren enters his 13th season as Head Golf Instructor at Island Lake Golf Course, and his 40th year of providing golf instruction to golfers of all ages. Originally from Pipestone, MN he started working with young golfers while still in high school. After playing Division III for Gustavus, Warren spent his post college years working with various Park and Recreation departments around the Twin Cities providing group and private lessons.
After a short stint away from golf, Warren returned to the golf industry by working at Brookview, in Golden Valley. In addition to private lessons, he again handled all the junior and group lessons.
Winters were spent working at golf courses in Florida and Texas, a two year stint at Redwood Falls Golf Club and then another two years managing the Golf Galaxy store in Roseville. In addition to his teaching at Island Lake, Warren also went to work at 2nd Swing Golf and became a certified Club Fitter.
Warren’s teaching method revolves around each individual golfer. Every golfer’s swing is different, so the goal is to create a golf swing that works with the physical ability of the golfer and provide processes to build a more reliable swing.
He emphasizes fun and plenty of humor. While you might need about 30 seconds per shot of serious concentration, the rest of the time you should be enjoying being outside and playing a fantastic sport. Click the link below to schedule an appointment with Warren Bailey.
Get Golf Ready – Classes for Adults
Get Golf Ready is our fun, beginner-friendly four-week class for adults new to golf. For one hundred fifty dollars, you get four weeks of hands-on lessons—starting with putting, moving to chipping, and wrapping up with full swing practice on the range. As a bonus, you’ll score a free nine-hole round with cart, a free round of mini golf to hone your putting, and a free jumbo range bucket to keep practicing those swings!
Focus on Technique – Classes for Adults
Elevate your game with our Focus on Technique class, a four-week program for adult golfers ready for the next level. For one hundred fifty dollars, you’ll dive into advanced short game skills—kicking off with refined putting in week one, mastering chipping in week two, and then sharpening your full swing with advanced techniques on the driving range for the final two weeks. Perks include a free nine-hole round with cart, a free round of mini golf to perfect your putting, and a free jumbo range bucket for extra practice!
Range Rats – Classes for Adults
Level up your long game with Range Rats, a four-week class skipping short game for golfers confident in their putting and chipping. For one hundred seventy five dollars, you’ll dive into advanced driving range skills, with a free jumbo range bucket to perfect every shot. Plus, keep practicing with a free nine-hole round with cart and a free round of mini golf to stay sharp!
All Classes are 4 weeks long, one hour each week
