FOCUS ON TECHNIQUE


(Minimum 4 students/Maximum 10)


​This class is designed to build a better understanding of the varying clubs and swings needed to be successful on the course. We will build on fundamentals and focus on consistency, ball striking and learning how to put it all together.


Class meets for four 60-minute lessons, plus a fifth class on our course to apply skills learned.

Meet your Golf Instructor

Warren Bailey


Warren has been teaching golf lessons for many years. Originally from Pipestone, MN, he started teaching golf to kids while still in high school. Warren played Division III golf for Gustavus.


Warren’s teaching method revolves around the individual. Every golfer’s swing is different in some way. The goal is to create a golf swing that works within the physical ability of the individual golfer. He emphasizes fun and humor. You need to laugh and relax while playing golf. Warren is available on weekday evenings and specified weekends for instruction.

Beginner's introduction to golf (Minimum 4 students/Maximum 10)


​This introductory class is designed to teach you the game of golf through a series of 5 group lessons in a fun non-intimidating environment. We will focus on the fundamentals, setup, short game and swing techniques. These classes are intended to teach basic fundamentals and prepare you for the course. There is no experience necessary, just the willingness to have fun and enjoy the process of learning this great game of golf.

Meet your Golf Instructor

Ryan McCormick


Originally from Columbus, OH, Ryan played Division III golf for Columbus State winning a NCAA III National Championship in 2003 while finishing 9th as an individual to earn All-American status.


After graduating from Golf Academy of America, Ryan worked in the golf industry for many years. Spending his last 10 years in Arizona working for various golf courses managed by Troon Golf. 


​Now General Manager of Island Lake Golf And Training Center, Ryan and his staff  bring "simplicity" to the game, so enjoyment remains.
